Balancing heritage and growth across Sydney Catholic Schools.
At St Francis Xavier, Arncliffe, APG delivered the adaptive reuse of a heritage convent into a new administration facility with upgraded staff amenities. This enabled the refurbishment of the existing administration building into contemporary Group Learning Areas, providing improved teaching spaces delivered in time for the academic year.
At St Declan’s Catholic Primary School in Penshurst, APG is leading the $20 million redevelopment of the existing school and parish site. The project includes new teaching spaces, staff and administration areas, and a multipurpose hall to support both school and community use. The works are underpinned by detailed master planning and staged delivery to expand the campus and improve connectivity.
At St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Riverwood, APG is leading a further $20 million redevelopment which includes the creation of a new library building, inclusive of 3 additional General Learning Areas (GLAs), a flexible play area, and refurbishment works throughout the remaining existing campus buildings. The project also includes associated landscaping and new play areas consisting of a new half court basketball court and synthetic all weather surface.
Across the portfolio, APG has balanced heritage considerations, live school environments, and evolving education requirements to deliver flexible, future-focused facilities that enhance both learning outcomes and community engagement.
