APG is managing a staged program of upgrade and restoration works at Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building, protecting its heritage character while enhancing the visitor experience.

QVB Restoration Portfolio

Carefully considered works supporting the ongoing life of one of Sydney’s most significant heritage assets.

Recent works for Vicinity Centres have included new carpet and banquette seating across Levels 1 and 2, delivered during night shifts to maintain safe access and minimise disruption in the live retail environment.

APG is also managing the restoration of the external main dome parapet, including the fabrication and installation of new copper balustrades. The works require careful coordination to balance preservation, design integrity and contemporary delivery requirements.

The portfolio builds on APG’s broader relationship with Vicinity across the QVB, The Strand Arcade, The Galeries and Bankstown Central. Vicinity has recognised APG’s “responsive communication, detailed coordination and strong contractor management”, reflecting the collaborative approach used across its retail and remediation projects.
