388 George Street is a 28-storey tower which was previously known as the American Express building, and also NRMA and IAG House. The building was completed in 1976 and underwent previous refurbishments in 1998 and 2009. The property comprises basement and ground floor retail, includes office accommodation and on-site parking for 80 vehicles.
The redevelopment of 388 George Street includes a new five-storey commercial and retail podium on the underutilised forecourt on the corner of the site. The new podium will include a new tower lobby, three levels of office space, three levels of retail space (including the lower ground floor) and a rooftop terrace. End-of-trip facilities will be provided on level one. APG has been engaged by the co-owners to provide tenancy coordination for the retail tenants within the commercial redevelopment.
APG recently delivered the Fresh Food Market, Locali by Romeos, located beneath the 388 George Street complex. The new retail offering features a walk-in cheese room, sushi bar, Italian bakery, florist and woodfired pizza.
APG continues to provide Tenancy Coordination services across the remaining high end luxury retail and hospitality spaces.
